Cinderella and Despair

Charming danced with CinderellaUntil the clock struck twelve. She seemed so full of secrets He hoped that she would tell.  But Ella was so worried That she'd betray herself. If he knew, he wouldn't let her Run to her attic cell.  He'd asked her for her name Time and time throughout the night, But the girl, she never answered In fear he'd be ashamed of her true sight.  So as soon as midnight did approach Ella sprinted to the stairs And as she rushed through the giant castle gates He almost stopped her by a hair.  But just like in the fairytale, Cinderella lost her shoe. And Charming? He bent down for it But the clock struck twelve too soon.  So Cindy never lost her slipper For it vanished in thin air. And the prince? He watched it disappear As if she never had been there.
