"Church" a building?

2 Timothy 2:20

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver,

but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor.

The church without  ... The Church within ...

Expanding, building … space is needed

for comfort and convenience sake.

For we are growing … at times in number

but are we growing … for Heaven's Sake?

Lumber and stone … is that what’s needed

To show progress in time's wake?

In commitment to God we are slowing

to a pace defined by snails.

Blinded such … warnings not heeded

pushing forward for our own sake?

Singing loud: " Open mine eyes Lord"

with our heads in sand for days.

Did we loose love … the first that is?

I know for "self" … we have enough,

and then expect that mighty "bliss"

that God bestows for work well done.

Well we smile and keep on dreaming

our greatest wish expands in stone.

Instead of grief for souls redeeming

so we won't walk … all alone.

The Lord said, “ Let your life be calling

Glory to God … Glory to our king”.

for if our lives become appalling

the stones will cry … Glory to Him.

Are we building … on our sources

laying one by one our “Hearts of stone”?

The tallest building that simply forces

the world to look into a spirit-less zone.
