Choices

Location

Walk a mile in my shoes

Then you’ll know what it’s like to choose

Between making a life of your own and leaving the nest

Or fixing your family and giving them the best

While being only twenty one

With no true potential to be shone

So far in the hard life of the girl

From a home of poverty and a whirl

Of disappointments left and right

But what I do know to be true is that light

Is at the end of the tunnel

And light will always overcome and prevail.
