Children

Jeremiah 49:11

11 But I will protect the orphans who remain among you.
Your widows, too, can depend on me for help.”

Who is at fault?

Where have all the children gone? Innocence seems lost so young

Where is growing up now done if the foundation is all shattered?

Why is there no end in sight? Why seems the day never done?

Who is reeling in the wounded, the hurt and the battered?

Who is tearing at our children’s mind? Who is so destructive?

Is it indifference of parents or darkness in its plot?

Is it still possible to find the true alternative’s motive?

Or are we to coherent to the lives that we long forgot?

We started our so well with good intentions in our hand

We focused on some values handed down by tradition

As well as I can tell it almost went as planned

Until we noticed our dues that were hidden in premonition

We passed on the buck to whoever stretched their hand

Responsibility went with it to our great relief

Now we know it sucks as the children form bands

To revenge through this generation through unbelief

Let us blame Hollywood or the government

Somewhere along the line they are responsible

It is for our own good to escape this torment

That really should be mine as I am  accountable
