Childish Sense of Wonder

It's no longer the struggle

of finding who I am,

but rather finding where I

fit in.

It is embodied by one giant

question mark -

I have been told that

all of the answers

refuse to emerge until

it is too late -

Yet I continue to dig desperately,

clawing at my mind for knowledge

not yet obtained.

At the end of the day,

all I have is who I am -

a cracked mess of hope,

selfishness, kindness, happiness,

sadness and good intentions.

But I will always hungrily search for more.
