Childhood

Fri, 01/31/2020 - 11:19 -- Mhandy

Both in the land of living /And that of make believe /I’ve seen a special something /In all I can achieve / Children, they see brightness /Rainbows fill their skies /The endless possibilities /In each and every try / I’ve worked with kids aplenty /Both family and friends /They always seem to teach me /The way that justice bends / For every rose is new /And snowflakes are a first /The presence that they offer /Makes my red heart burst / What in life have I forgot? /What feelings are not new? /Perhaps in exploration, /They’ve given me a clue! / Children, they inspire /We watch as wonder grows /From the rainbows up above them /All the way down to their toes.
