Childhood

Location

We frolic free

As we play in the streets

Stains of deep crimson mud

On our little small feet

Oh, how good it is to be

A Child

Not a care in the world

As we enjoy youth’s pleasures

Let’s indulge our adolescence

Life doesn’t get much better

Oh, how good it is to be

A Child

Oh, there are games and fun for everyone,

There are marbles and jacks and ball

And paper dolls and a wagon, too

And pretending to be tall

Oh, how good it is to be

A Child

Being a child, life is carefree

But it perishes as the months

Become years, you will see

So enjoy while you have the chance

For you’re only a child once.

Oh, how good it is to be.
