The Child

If I could change just one thing, only one thing. I have to think it would be the small child I see everyday.

The child whom thinks hitting another is perfectly acceptable, in the name of retrieving a stolen toy, that is.

I would change the child whom has been taught that they are not worthy, the one whom's parents have abandoned.

Or the child whom witnesses his parents fight, lie, argue, and manipulate against each other, so that they would see real love.

I would give the hungry child: food, the lost child: guidance, the lonely child: affection, the sick child: care, and the forgotten child: my time.

I would change the child, because the child is the future and the future depends on the child.
