"Cherished Necklace"

Lost and stranded on this gloomy island,

A delicate necklace in my hand.

Trapped and caved in my own asylum,

They all said I will be forever damned.

This necklace is mine for it was a gift,

Enclosed in a box, he said he loved me.

I am trapped here eternally adrift,

While he's somewhere afraid and wondering.

This necklace is what's keeping me vibrant,

Without it I would've let myself die.

This meaning screams to me, yet it's silent,

For this gift will always be a prize.

A necklace that gives me passion and life,

Forever holding it without any strife.
