A Chemist's Ink
I wonder at vague inspiration
At the pen penning characters and,
dialogue, and missing subtext
Misinterpretations run chaotic like
atoms, gaseous and kinetic in nature
Words wander across the page of
their own volition
Tied to contextual meanings, riveted in place
yet free and as dangerous as
Hydrogen, bonded tightly to another, but
never with kin, never without motion
A clever plot follows the curve of
exponential growth as emotions collide—
exponential decay takes over as the climax
fades; characters
walk away, befuddled as a story with
the complexity of stoichiometry
and the danger of
unstable plutonium
emerges.
