Together let’s play a game,
A game of Checker’s with two colors,
With squares both equal and same.

But something doesn’t seem right,
This checker board has nowhere to move,
Containing no blacks just a sheet of white,
Creating a game with no love,
Just a pale field of spite.

Let me help you, we’ll paint this board together,
For squares of black are equally important.
We’ll fix it for the better.

Gather your colors,
Your blacks and your whites,
Gather your sisters, sons, and mothers,

As we all play a merry game of checkers.
