“Is it okay? Are you okay?”
You say
“I feel so guilty”
“Not enough”
I say
If you did it anyways

I see it tears you up inside
that you ruined a beautiful thing
for a fantasy of a summer night’s dream

By the smile on your face
I can see the
fake grief
Of a cheating motif

Don’t even try to pry
my fingers off your lies
My cries never ran dry
Because they never fell

Rats aren’t hard to smell
Under a thick layer of rumors
You failed to hide
Through words of husbands and wives
That will never be
You . And. I.
