I have never known a man or woman,

Who had no words inside of them to say.

Some are too afraid to speak when they can,

For fear that if they do they’ll rue the day.

So we plaster harmless thought and notion,

To small pages, not anger our piers,

Never to set our dogmas in motion.

I stood among them drenched in priceless tears.

There is bravery in diversity.

There is grit in stoic truth and confess.

Seldom will we fit the mold to a tee.

Why not accept a new unlike address?

Through poetry, I seek to tell the truth,

Alone, not to comply and follow soothe.

This poem is about:
Me
Our world
