Changing to a Woman

A working woman

Productive in society

Her independence claimed

Important skills learned

Like cleanliness, study habits, maturity, and sobriety.

A learned woman

Knowledgeable of what she speaks about

Cannot define ‘ignorant’ or ‘closed minded’

Listens to all infinite sides

Before she plants her roots to sprout.

A wanting woman

Never being okay with the now

Always craving the best and next steps

Wanting people to push themselves

But she still finds happiness somehow.

A worried woman

Worried for the ones she adores

Giving light to the depths of despair in life

Only the truth will slide past the tongue

Hoping that her future will find her family true mentors.

A Changed woman

Looking back on the younger days

Finding all that she wanted was praise

Realized that it  wasn’t a phase

To want the change even during the best of her days.
