Changes right before my eyes

I used to play outside and enjoy the sun

I was oblivious to world problems

I was an only child,

which was the best time of my life

And I used to be carefree

But then I stopped going outside

Academics became my life

And sadly yet still happily,

I gained a little brother

Most of all

I'm no longer oblivious

I see the world and it's problems

I see the struggles that my mom goes through

My eyes are no longer sheltered

I don't know when it happend

But I grew up

And it happend right before my eyes
