A Change Within

Location

Why should it matter what I have on?

What I Look like?

If I have the newest cell phone?

The color of my skin,

the sound of my voice,

my sexuality.

Or whatever my choice.

The eyes follow, like a shadow on a gloomy day

The whispers haunt me

Flitting past my ears in a wild array.

Who I hang out with.

The clothes I buy.

What  my hair looks like.

I hear the judgment in the voices

Their pointed looks, going straight through my soul

So if I could change one thing.

And one thing at all.

It wouldn't matter if I was:

Short, fat, skinny or tall

I wouldn't make everyone equal,

Our differences make us unique

But I stopped the hurtful words like:

"Freak" and "Geek"

Yes Judgement is what I'd change

Open up everyone's mind

They'll be no more hatred

Therefore every thing is fine

If I could change one thing

And one thing at all

I'd give every one and open mind

And there won't be any more...
