Change Time

Location

She glances at the clock,

As it flashes eleven twelve.

She sighs once again,

As she places another notebook on the shelf.

Through another clover patch,

She searches for a wish.

Her efforts to no avail,

To find something better than this.

She found a penny,

Then picked it up.

Thrown into a fountain,

Still without luck.

Out a window she looks,

As a shooting star flies.

Still without her wish,

She wants only to change time.

Undo what can't be undone,

To change what's past,

To prevent the present time,

To give that second chance.
