A Change of One

Location

If I could change one,

I would change the blemish upon my face,

But not the one on yours.

Push back my stray hair

That’s always there,

While never touching yours.

I would erase my imperfections,

Until they don’t exist,

While never changing yours,

Because there’s nothing there to fix.

It’s not that you don’t have them,

And it’s not that I don’t see.

But because each imperfection,

Is something perfect to me.

But if i could only change one,

I would change the cut upon your skin,

But not the one on mine.

Take away your fear

That won’t disappear

While keeping all of mine.

I would erase your pains

Until  they doesn’t exist,

While keeping mine the same

Because without yours, I have none to fix.

It’s not that I don’t have themm

And it’s not that I don’t feel.

But because if you have no troubles,

Then none of mine can be real.
