I am sorry for having been this way.
Memories whisper old things from our past.
The truth came and your heart shattered like clay,
I played while you looked for something to last.

How sweet you were and always tried to pry,
Your tries seemed not enough for my cold heart.
How to explain without stopping to cry,
Sometimes I feel that it is best to part.

Yet, far away I miss the love you proved,
And I feel something that can’t be shaken.
You’re on my mind, suddenly I feel loved.
This love, I can’t afford to be taken.

A beginning with you should be brand new,
And with you my life has hope for renew.
