"Change" By Caitlin Dreher

Change

Remeber me? I was the one you made fun of;

the one you spread lies about.

The one who never had friends; the one who always cried a lot.

You used to be my best friend, but I guess things have changed.

You've turned your back on me, now you can't remember my name.

Remember that time when you told me to never frown?

However, remember that time when you pushed me to the ground?

You lied and said you never touched me, but the scars and bruises have always hushed me.

Now I've learned how to get over the past of what used to be a friendship, something I thought would always last.

Over the years I've grown stronger and wiser by keeping positive poeple around who want to take me higher.

A friendship is trust that you gain, something to give and to be taken away.

The good ones last, while the bad one's perish; however the one I had I thought I would cherish.
