The choice has been made, I took the center stage.
Opened a new book, and turned a new page
The last book I read, left me with resentment & rage
read that book 3 times, had to understand the wordage,
But as many times read, it still left me with some confusage!
Looked for cliff notes, but there was no coverage.

I decided to put the book down, thought I would disengage...
Instead of reading, I thought I would get on stage
I read, and learned, went through a developmental stage...
Found a new past time, began a new voyage..
I found I had many friends, all who encourage (me)
Before I knew it, I looked, and realized I had an entourage!

From time to time, there are those who try to discourage..
& from time to time, I can feel the pressure gauge
My reputation precedes me, Wow now I have an image!
Many people I met, also helped me out, & gave me leverage.
soon found out being wanted by many, has a disadvantage
The love & support my fans shown, became my personal cage.

But I have so much love and support backstage
I am confident, even if making only minimum wage...
