Caution

when you cross a busy street
you look both ways
when someone tells you they love you
you look in both eyes
but my inhibitions vanished
as I looked at the sunshine in his stare
his smile was a bridge I was afraid to cross
but I was addicted to the thrill
so I stopped right at the edge
and bungee jumped down to his chest
I rang the doorbell at the iron gates around his heart
and said "my mother told me not to talk to strangers
but there is something familiar in the pools of chocolate in your eyes
your arms have a 'for rent' sign
and I'd love to take a tour"
