Carpe Diem

What, I wonder, makes my alarm clock worth bearing?

I tell you, a hope that I may enhance some lives.

What, I wonder, might mute my morning moan-like sigh?

A small thing inspires my mood... a smile I'm wearing.

When I jump out of bed, adventure is glaring,

I can not simply wait and let it pass me by.

To discover the unknown excites my wide eyes,

I might meet new people with experience worth hearing.

Light delicate dew dances in sweet golden light.

Whispering birds stir the air with morning greeting.

These little discoveries fill me with delight,

but may have never been known had I been sleeping.

To live my life and seize the day with all my might

is my personal motivation for a life worth leading.
