The Carny

Wed, 01/29/2014 - 18:38 -- TLS121

I met a man who chased his dreams

By walking between the clouds

After his other dreams had abandoned him.

He thought that standing on a rope between poles

Was the best way to be brave

In a world where there were no wars worth fighting

And no people worth saving

He was alone and alone he stood between life and death

He walked because it made him feel right

Not because someone else told him to

And he was smarter than any man I knew;

This strange fellow who walked between clouds.
