car/molasses blood

Wed, 01/24/2018 - 06:16 -- lizann

As it is done now

As it is clear now

As I can't run now

Because there was nothing left to run from

I was not running the whole time

Because to be running

you need to be moving

all i was doing was being stuck

molasses blood is thick

it's cold out too

and my veins are starting to freeze

maybe I should drink boiling water to help me out

or maybe just to make sure I could still feel

just realize at this point in the poem you are solemn

but you will move on once your blood warms

realize you are the engine

of an abandoned parking lot car

at least months left unsparked dead winter

it takes more than turning the key to work

This poem is about:
Me
