Care Too Much

The taste of your memory drains me of the colors
That you once used to paint my days
And now I'm gray
Faded this way out of black

The taste of lost time, the miles behind me
Are dragging me back to a place
But now I'm gray
And I cant take you back

I care for you too much
That's why I'm letting you go
And I'm as sure as ever that you'll never really know
How I treasured your touch
Your names burned into my soul
I gotta go, cause I care far too much

You look at the sky and you see what I see
When I look into your eyes
But now I'm gray
And you're almost free

Yeah we're still getting high and still I believe
In the miracle of the lie
But I'm gray now
And I'm a slave, no longer me

Because I always did care for you too much
That's why I'm letting you go
And I'm sure you'll never know
How I treasured your touch
Your name's burned into my soul
I gotta go, cause I care far too much.
