care
love is the opposite of hate is the opposite of indifference. there is no need to hate because when you hate you care and when you love you still care. where love really stops is when you stop caring.
in english, we can only put a lousy adjective in front of love. eternal love, unconditional love. but what about hate? is there a universe where no matter what you’ll hate someone forever? is there a world where your hate for someone is endless and star-crossed lovers doesn’t mean one will die but instead you care less and less and less until you don’t and that hate becomes indifference.
love will always be hate will always be love. there is no world where you don’t care and still hate and there is no world where you don’t care and still love. we put these words on the opposite side of a color wheel where purple is hate and yellow is love but no matter what they’re still connected.
we place so much emphasis on love, love, love, but when we really stop and think about it, true hate is indifference. no time, no energy, no feeling to a person, place, or thing.
when you say you hate something, you’re saying you care, care, care. when you say you hate someone, you’re saying you care, care, care. when you say you hate, you say that you care.
you love to hate, yet you hate to care. the day you don’t is the day the hate really starts.
