Can't Live With Them, Can't Live Without Them

Thu, 02/11/2016 - 23:54 -- Cam003

I like to complain about them sometimes

I'd rather not listen to them sometimes

I think they can't relate to me sometimes

But they try

I think they're overprotective sometimes

I think they're too harsh sometimes

I think they're annoying sometimes

But they try

Because that's what my parents do, they try

I may not see it sometimes, but they want what's best for me

They want me to have the best life possible

So they try

Sometimes I can take them for granted

Other times I think they're know-it-alls

But they've experienced life more than I have

Still, they try

They've been through it all, so I have to believe in them

They're not trying to be the villians in my life

Who else will help me through my dark times?

So they try

No two people have ever tried so hard for me before

They're the ones I can always count on

I can't imagine a life without them

They've tried, and for that, I'm now thankful
