Can I Really Make a Difference?

Poor animals abused and hurt

Humans just continue on and worry about their new shirt

People abusing their power

While animals shake in fear and cower

I wanted to help those poor souls

Even if it just meant filing their bowls

But can I really make a difference

While everyone else passes by in ignorance?

Who would listen to a young child

Wishing to aid those in the wild?

When I was young, the perfect job for me

Was to help and see animals be free

I worried that no one could hear

As I shared with the animals, my tears

If I may I'd help them all out

So the poor puppies don't have to pout

I will help put a stop to this madness

No one should have to go through so much sadness

I will make a difference

And show everyone animals' importance
