Can I Have that to Go

Location

“Can I have that to go?

 But why do I ask?

Time doesn’t go slow,

And I have no better task.

But we are always running,

Away to better things.

Our aversion is stunning,

Like birds we sprout wings.

We fly back to our nest,

Away from the rest.

Avoiding the allergic reaction

Brought by human interaction.

It is time to slow down,

Cure this social flu.

You will not drown

If you meet someone new.

Technology has helped society to grow,

Yet its interconnections, strand us in sections.

Make friends with things that don’t glow,

Or settle for some silent inflection.

So stop rushing away,

And stop wasting your day.

Embrace the world and its people,

Life will feel full.
