A flashing light coupled with a dilating lens.

I hide my face with rosy cheeks, and a nervous smile

Tugging at my sleeves.

I am a bit camera shy.

The back of my head and my hand take center stage;

I escaped this time.

Pay no attention to my arms;

They are a bit camera shy.

Thin white lines decorate them,

So my sleeves race to shield them

From a flashing light coupled with a dilating lens.

They are a bit camera shy.

I keep them close, and hide them behind a face with rosy cheeks, and a nervous smile.

Crisp, clear memories ebb and flow

Behind stoic and complacent eyes.

They are a bit camera shy.

They do not need to know

About thin white lines that decorate my arms

And crisp, clear memories behind stoic and complacent eyes.

Please don't point the flashing light coupled with a dilating lens at my tears.

They are a bit camera shy.
