Calm in the Storm

Lighting  struck and thunder crashed

And the wind howled at the sight.

The rain pounded the earth,

And the earth shook with fright.

But in this storm, there’s something else,

A lesson to be learned.

As the lightning crackles through the air,

Shocking anything in its way,

And the thunder booms angrily,

Adding its commanding say.

The wind blows softly through the air,

Cooling it as it goes.

The soothing rain plays its symphony,

And calms the weeping rose.

The wonderful occurrence, displayed to see,

Is chaos mixed with peace in perfect harmony.

By this God shows us His amazing power,

To bring us rest and hope,

In our most challenging hour.
