Calling Backup

I arrive at the scene.

A reported disorderly conduct, undeniably located inside of my brain.

'Surprised' is not a word to describe my reaction to find the two suspects.

Depression and Anxiety.

A disturbance of the peace quickly escalates to a showdown.

Sad thoughts quickly grow into an assault on my mind.

An unfair battle of two against one, I am outnumbered.

Pulling out my radio, I call for backup.

You arrive.

You and I, together we prevail, arresting the criminals who dared to bring me down.

You are my partner.

You are my squad.

You are my backup.
