Calling

2 Timothy 4:3-4

For there will be a time when people will not tolerate sound teaching.

Instead, following their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves,

because they have an insatiable curiosity to hear new things. 4

And they will turn away from hearing the truth, but on the other hand they will turn aside to myths.

 To be called

The calling of most is so trivial

that the purpose of Life passes by,

without recognition and unintentional

wasting days and time … wondering why?

So if calling and knowing is vital

to understand the direction to go

then why live a life of denial

like the calling you hear is a hoax?

If the voice you hear is convincing

you to take care of yourself and your own

then the call you know … that you're hearing

Is your flesh justifying … what you've sown

But when the time comes for reaping

the things you have sown for your own

your responsibility for treasure in your keeping

will classify you … a friend or foe

A friend of Jesus our Savior

or a foe for all things He stands for

Just watching and hoping our behavior

fits through God's Everlasting Door

If in all things we're pleasing to Him

and all treasure He gave us to share

with everyone He sends our direction

for the opportunity for us to care

Than we truly found our calling

Each others burdens to bear

To help and encourage the falling

to dutiful love … and to dare

To stand out and be faith-fully numbered

with the few and committed whose fare

is to share all they have with the needy

to be with Christ … Eternally there
