It's three in the morning, the worst kind of call
Someone you love has ended it all
Your world is shattered, your heart is broken
Why couldn't they have been more outspoken?
You would have helped if only you'd known
They kept it so quiet that it was never shown
They must have been desperate, this you know
You only wish they'd had the chance to grow
You wish you could tell them you love them one more time
Compared to that, material things aren't worth a dime
Things that you once liked, won't seem so pleasing
Acceptance will come, but it won't be easy
