There once was a boy named Tom
Who sat to do homework, so long
His tie was on straight, his books in a line
He was confident his homework would fly by with the time

“Here is a derivative,” his homework said.
“Find the integral, and mark it in red.”
“That is a synch!” Thought the young boy
“I’m sure this homework will bring nothing but joy!”

So he worked quickly, and without delay
He found the wrong answer, to his dismay.
“No worries,” though poor young Tom
“I’ll find a different answer, and it will not be wrong.”

So he used Riemann sums, then he counted squares
But when they were wrong too, he began to beware.
He reversed the limits, he substituted ‘u’
If he couldn’t use fn integral, what could he do?

But when the clock struck midnight, poor Tom fell asleep
And into his room his older sister did creep.
“Looks like he’s taking a zero,” said she
“And look, what a shame, he forgot the +C”
