The Caged Bird

Location

I sit alone in an empty room,

Alone with a beautiful caged bird.

It sings sweetly to me, happy to heard.

It sings a song of sadness and pain.

It sings it's heart out as if I am not here.

I listen to it's beautiful song and think

How can this caged bird sing?

It flutters its wings as I approach

All this time singing loud.

I sing along with the bird and think

How does this caged bird sing?

A mockingbird I realize,

Has been singing me it's last goodbyes.

And as it sings it's last notes,

I let the caged mockingbird go.
