The Cackle
My grievances await atonement, but it never arrives
I continue to battle the monsters inside.
These macabre beasts from the infernal grave
Lash out and unleash unbridled rage.
With fangs sharper than diamond and tough as steel
They inflict wounds that will never heal
My efforts are used to seek understanding
Even then I approach deep despair.
The challenges of life are so demanding
I waver with one wish: that you were there.
As I stumble clutching my heart's canyon
I’m entangled in a cage of unrest.
Hopelessness is my only companion
It cackles at my loneliness.
