Burdens ...

Luke 9:23

23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone wants to become My follower,

he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Matthew 11:28

28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Bring our burdens to the Lord and lay them at His feet.

Now we should just leave them there and walk away free and clear.

But outside the throne room I catch myself in fear

for what I supposedly left behind still is far too near.

Too much business left undone ... who will keep track?

Too much dreaming in the sun ... who will get sacked?

Too much dancing in the snow ... who will catch the flack?

Too much wishing for a “job well-done” ... who did stack the deck?

Love should be the motive in everything we do.

I seem to be failing there ... well how about you?

Yes I know the better and that must be true

for in my procrastination I always point at you.
