Bungee ... never too late

Mark 2:10-12

10 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,”—he said to the paralytic— 11 “I tell you, stand up, take your stretcher, and go home.” 12 And immediately the man stood up, took his stretcher, and went out in front of them all. They were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

Bungee

With a bungeecord around his neck he jumped his way to freedom

bouncing up and down at the end of his rope.

Grimace on his face ... as he is enjoying

a broken neck and ratting bones ... he really is a dope.

This is the way most go through life ... bouncing up and down

blaming the bungeecord ... for their own prediction.

Most justify that call ... and despise the affliction

that as self-imposed ... becomes their contradiction.

Somewhere we reap what we sow ... this appears unacceptable.

Standards for that were put in place ... a long time ago.

We are not ignorant of that ... for it is written in our hearts

by the One Who made everything ... and even that we know.

So if your neck is broken ... and you’re dangling in the wind

that should be the right time to sense ... that you’re dead and rotten.

Here then is the moment ... to turn to my Redeemer

Who can raise you from your grave ... never to be forgotten

He’ll lead you to repentance ... He’ll make your heart a new.

He’ll bring you back to life ... and gives you a purpose.

He’ll prepare a place for you ... He’ll lift your name on high.

He’ll write it in the book of Life as He prepares you for His service.

What about the cord ... that no one can afford?

What about the place ... it was tied too?

I don’t know for certain ... but let’s agree in one accord

that the ship of depravity ... has a place to go overboard.
