Brothers

Tue, 01/20/2015 - 01:47 -- cae1136
You used to take the punches, you use to suffer the abuse.
You stood your ground, a solo lonely post.
And your blood on the ground was your reward.

You prayed and prayed, God let this end.
You cried and screamed, cursing my name.
Instead of forsaking you, like you cursed me for.
I sent you a guardian.

A brother in arms, a brother by blood.
Someone who no matter what, would never let you down.
He'd stand with you. Through every pain and abuse.
You no longer had to hold a lonely post, because he has your back.

You can always trust him to stand by you, no matter what.
And may the Lord help all those who harm you.
Fore his fists are the tool of vengence, for those who harm his brother.
