Broken Strings

Fri, 10/19/2018 - 09:40 -- jaime.a

I'm the cold air that you breath

The heat of hell beneath your feet

Now I'm here and then I'm there

I was your happiness but now I'm despair

From a racing car at the dawn of life

To a dead end street in the speed of light

You'll waste yourself until you die

Clenching on me, a single lie

Life is like a perfect rose

Bright red and as precious as gold

But the moment you grow strong

That's when you know the rose has thorns

Enough about what's dead and gone

And soon enough you'll be alone

Break what's left and burn the scars

Now a broken string is all that you are
