Broken Promises

you promised we'd make it

your love, you promised you wouldn't fake it

the thought of me leaving, you said you could't take it

yet it was you who left

me in the place you promised i'd never be again

promises expire when boredom strikes

you promised me so much

i'd always have your touch.

love, time, such and such

you became short spoken

after all your promises were broken.
