Broken Insides

Location

Stop. Stop telling me to cope.

Do you me enough to say the words you have spoke?

To ask me why I’m hurting just isn’t enough

To try to mend my broken heart is brave, but it’s going to be tough.

You see, holding on to lies breaks it more,

And holding on to feelings makes a person sore.

May the tears that trickle, trickle until someone listens

May they see the gleam in my eye that actually glistens

I’m tired and young

And being frustarated and overwhelmed is no fun

If you think I’ll talk stop pulling that rope

But stop, just stop telling me to cope.
