Broken Hallelujahs

I hope that when you hold her

Your heart still thinks of me
I’m trying not to cry for you
We were not meant to be

Yet time and time and time again
I fell into your arms
Loneliness is poison
You’re presence was my charm

Broken Hallelujahs
Fall shattered on the floor
Ripping from me ev’ry breath
I need them all the more

I hope that when you hold her
And feed her hungry eyes
You remember that I loved you
I listened to your cries
