Broken Dreams

They had a story.

More like a twisted fairytale.

Her mother would never approve.

And he felt the disapproval.

His mother had conditional love,

for the girl who could change his life.

Even when they fought,

the love in their eyes was undeniable.

But if you looked further,

you could see the hurt and distrust.

From years of infidelities,

and many broken promises.

She still wished for their fairytale,

but is unsure of his intentions.

His love for her is strong,

and hypnotizes her every thought.

But sometimes...

it takes more than love.

If he knew of her doubt,

Their fairytale...would be another broken dream.
