The Broken Ballerina

Location

United States

Walking, Talking, Laughing, Smiling

Laying, Silent, Frowning, Crying.

By day one way, By night another.

No one to pick up the shattered pieces,

But when you came along...

So did the light

Dancing, Turning, Smiling, Leaping.

You showed me what happiness was.

You were my mentor,

You were my friend.

You may not be a person,

But you live on inside of me.

Dancing, Laughing, Turning, Smiling.

I was shattered,

Broken.

The pointe shoes

Put me back together

Now I'm always...

Dancing, Laughing, Turning, and Smiling.
