Red, White, and Blue is carried off a plane
A man of bravery and courage died without shame
Six fellow comrades bring him back home
Desert Storm is where this soldier roamed
The man is to be buried where his family lies
The last words of his platoon? Today a brave man met his demise
And on the day this soldier was laid peacefully to rest
His 3 year old daughter laid a rose on her daddy's chest
Then the little girl bent down and kissed her daddy's cheek
And whispered ever so softly " Daddy watch me as you sleep."
Then she slipped something in her daddy's pocket
#1 Dad written on a tiny heart locket
Two pictures inside of his beautiful girls
His wife and his daughter, his beauty, his pearls
The guards call out "Ready, Aim, Fire." Then "Bang!"
Some say you could see the father brush his baby girls cheek as the gunshots rang.
