Bright, Little Dreamer

Little dreamer,

you’re like a balloon,

in the distance,

floating beyond the clouds,

far past the atmosphere.

It seems,

gravity can’t hold you down

and the wind takes you up.

You’re a dreamer,

always looking straight forward.

You ignore those who said,

“The sky's the limit”

Instead you laugh and fly

further and further each waking second.

Your head is in space

Your own little world

But I can’t make myself

pull back on the string

So instead, I let go.

And push.
