Breathe

Move on. Walk forward.
This minute will never come again.
This hour will be lost in time.
You keep living but never notice.
When it hits, a hundred hands wrap around your throat.
A thousand eyes stare into yours.
A million breaths are taken from you.
You cannot breathe. You cannot see.
Time stops as you recall everything that has happened, little or small.
Pain inflames in the chest with every trying step towards the light.
Being alone is the biggest fear.
I'm facing that fear.
That light gets farther and farther away every time my world stops.
There is no one to drag me back. There is no one to make my word continue.
Life gives me options.
Fight or give up.
Love or hate.
Believe or doubt.
Fight for the love that I believe in.
Give up the hate that brought on my doubts.
Move on. Walk forward.
Tomorrow is always a new day.
Untangle the hands around your throat, look back into the eyes that stare, take a million more breaths.
Face the fear. Face the love and the hate.
Fight for what tomorrow brings.
Move on. Walk forward.
Learn when to fight.
Learn when to give up
Learn when to love.
Learn when to hate.
Learn when to believe.
Learn when to doubt.
And when that time comes, move on, and walk forward.
Let time start again.
